|We imported this piano directly from the U.S.A. to offer s its best original condition.
The strings, tuning pins, hammers, etc. are all as they were in those days.
I have been interested in vintage New York Steinways and have seen nearly 200 old Steinways, but I have never seen one in such good condition without an overhaul.
The action is smooth and the hammer felts are in excellent condition for their time.
The keys were re-covered from ivory to plastic when imported to Japan.
The condition of the pin board was tuned when it was displayed, and the tuner said it was tight and in perfect condition.
There are no cracks on the soundboard. The soundboard is in perfect condition according to the tuner.
The sound and tone of the piano are excellent in its current state, but with further work on the soundboard, the potential is immeasurable. The exterior has some scuffs, bruises, scratches, and fading.
The only accessory is the original bench.
